Trevor Bayne takes on new role with Prime Video

Trevor Bayne is taking on a new role this season as he joins Prime Video for the streamer's five Cup Series races.

According to a press release, the former Daytona 500 winner will work as a pit reporter. He will provide updates alongside veteran reporters Kim Coon and Marty Snider, starting with the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 25.

Coon and Snider both have experience working as pit reporters for NBC Sports. Coon also works on CW Sports' Xfinity Series broadcasts as a pit reporter.

Bayne has experience working for one of NASCAR's TV partners. He has long worked for Fox Sports while serving in multiple roles. He has been an analyst for ARCA and Xfinity Series races. He has served as a studio analyst for "NASCAR RaceDay" and the now-inactive "NASCAR Race Hub."

Along with his time working as an analyst, Bayne has provided support for multiple Toyota-affiliated NASCAR teams. He joined Legacy Motor Club as the driver optimization leader last year. He also coaches Truck Series drivers for Tricon Garage and Xfinity Series drivers for Joe Gibbs Racing.
