A top team in the Mazda MX-5 Cup Championship will take center stage as part of an in-depth new Prime Video docuseries.
"First to the Finish," which debuts on March 25, follows BSI Racing and team owner Shea Holbrook as she guides her team through the Mazda MX-5 Cup Championship season. The series will also focus on drivers Heather Hadley and Sally Mott, who will continue to pursue podium finishes and wins.
Holbrook is no stranger to competition. A former driver, she won races in the Pirelli World Challenge Touring Car Championship and delivered top-fives in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Series. However, she stepped out of the car several years ago to raise a family.
Holbrook, who founded Shea Racing, remained in racing as she purchased BSI Racing. She is now the Team Principal and co-owner.
Hadley, a senior at UNC-Charlotte, made her rookie debut during the 2023 Mazda MX-5 Cup Championship season. She returned to the series last season and competed against a stacked lineup of drivers, including Connor Zilisch.
Mott, who began racing at the age of 15, competed as a rookie last season after securing sponsors and a scholarship at the MX-5 Cup Shootout. She ended the season 12th in the championship standings, one spot ahead of Zilisch.

The Mazda MX-5 Cup Championship is an IMSA-sanctioned racing series that takes up-and-coming drivers to various road courses around North America. The Daytona Road Course, the streets of St. Petersburg, the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, and Canadian Tire Motorsport Park are only some of the scheduled destinations.
The racing series also made its debut at Martinsville Speedway last season for a non-points event on NASCAR's oldest oval.
"The MX-5 Cup Championship is widely regarded as some of the best automotive racing on the planet and predominantly features younger drivers looking to prove themselves," said Mazda North American Operations Chief Marketing Officer and executive producer Brad Audet in a statement.
"Mazda believes in the power of human potential and supports those who choose to pursue what makes them happy rather than just simply move through life. This series demonstrates the potential these young drivers have and what it looks like when it's transformed into action."
