Montoya will drive the No. 50 Toyota Camry XSE for 23XI Racing as part of a celebration of Mobil 1's 50th anniversary. This will be his first NASCAR start since the 2014 season when he made multiple starts for Team Penske.

Montoya, who has achieved success across numerous racing series, has success at Watkins Glen. He won at the track in 2010. This was his second career Cup win. His first was at Sonoma Raceway in 2007.

The entry list will also include Shane van Gisbergen, who continues to make Cup starts in preparation for his full-time move to Trackhouse Racing next season.

SVG will drive the No. 16 for Kaulig Racing as he competes in four of the remaining nine races this season. Sunday's race will mark his first Cup start at Watkins Glen.

Kaulig Racing will field a third Cup Series car for Sunday's race. AJ Allmendinger will drive the No. 13 Chevrolet as he joins SVG on the list of drivers pulling double duty at the New York road course.

Like Montoya, Allmendinger has extensive experience at Watkins Glen International, a run that includes a trip to victory lane. The California native has made 12 Cup starts at the road course since 2008. He has finished inside the top 10 in eight of these races. He won his first career Cup race at Watkins Glen in 2014.

The final guest driver is Kaz Grala, who returns to Rick Ware Racing. Grala, who raced full-time for Sam Hunt Racing last season, has shared the No. 15 Ford with Cody Ware and Riley Herbst.

Grala has made 17 Cup Series starts this season -- 16 with Rick Ware Racing and one with Front Row Motorsports. His best finish was 14th at Atlanta Motor Speedway in February.
