Ferrari tire explodes as car tops out, and it is all caught on video

Driving a Ferrari at high rates of speed can be an exhilarating experience. It can also be terrifying for the driver and passenger as one social media video showed.

The footage showed a man behind the steering wheel of a Ferrari as he pushed the car to the limit in a tunnel. One of the tires then suddenly blew, which sent the supercar veering out of control. The driver tried to get it under control but failed before crashing.

The post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, also showed the aftermath of the incident. The Ferrari 458 Spider had a shattered windshield. The entire front end of the car was gone. The left rear fender and part of the bumper area were also destroyed.

The incident occurred in the Sultangazi Cebeci Tunnel in Turkey. The driver was Unal Turan, an automotive content creator with more than two million followers on Instagram and 1.1 million followers on his YouTube channel.

Turan provided extensive information about the crash in the aftermath, saying that he and his fiancée both escaped injury in the incident. He also revealed that an investigation took place.

As Turan wrote on Instagram, he had documents that he would share with his followers. According to Turan, the Pirelli tires had a manufacturing defect. He also said that the airbags in the Ferrari did not deploy.

While the Ferrari 458 Spider is no longer functional, Turan has continued to produce content with a variety of luxury vehicles. He has numerous videos showing him doing burnouts and drifts with a yellow BMW. He has others showing his traversing tunnels in a black customized Mercedes-Benz S Class.

Some of his videos also feature some niche vehicles. This includes an older Honda Civic hatchback, a Honda S2000, a Dacia Duster pickup, and a Nissan 200SX.
